Help w/ MS Access 2003?
To make a long story short:
I upgraded from Office 2000 to Office 2003 through our network. Now in my old files in Access I had set security groups and I had an administrator password that would prompt me every time I opened them. After I moved to 2003 the files will open but it seems the rights and passwords have not moved over and when I try to do a conversion it will not allow me to do one to 2003 yet I can still view them in the current version. Any ideas? Am I missing something? Thank you so much to anyone that can help. If I've left out any details please let me know. Joe |

Probably they are partially encrypted.
my suggestion is to move your data offline. uninstall 2003, reinstall 2000. open the data files, remove the protection, resave them offline, then unistall 2000 and reintall 2003. might be the only way. have you tried openoffice? |
