Having some virus trouble here

I'm trying to get rid of what I'm certain is a virus at this point.
Here's the lowdown.
Task Manager does not work. Same with regedit. Some other programs behave abnormally i.e. i can run a program, minimize it and it will continue to run even though I cannot open it back up again. Limewire (I know some of you will discourage me from even having this program) will not shut down even when I disconnect it under the file menu.
I've ran a McAfee virus scan with no results but the definitions are out of date and my license has expired. I cannot afford to purchase a renewel at this time.
I tried downloading and installing ewido but when I attempt to run it windows tells me the installer is corrupted or incomplete and may be due to a damaged disk, failed download or virus.
I also downloaded and ran CWshredder but it came up with nothing.
Here is my HJT log:

Your system is infected with a nasty trojan.

Very Important: Before deciding whether you should clean or reformat your system, go and read this thread HERE and decide what it is you want to do.

If after reading the above, you wish to clean your system, do the following.

Go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as attachments into this thread, only after doing the above.

Also, let me know the results of the AVG Antirootkit scan.

Regards Howard
