You might remember our previous report on Lindows' announcement of the "MSfreePC" program described as a web service designed to help Microsoft customers process their settlement claims from the $1.1 billion settlement Microsoft has agreed to pay.

Now Microsoft has made publicly known they are not happy with the claims site and is demanding Lindows to take the program down:

In a letter sent to the software seller on Friday and reprinted in a Lindows announcement Monday, Microsoft attorney Robert Rosenfeld said that Lindows' MSfreePC site includes false and misleading information and encourages filing of fraudulent claims. The letter also demands that Lindows take down the site by noon PT Monday or face legal action by Microsoft.
