Intel cuts prices, more to follow
Following price cuts on its Mobile Pentium M processors on October 5, Intel will soon carry out more sweeping price reductions to tackle growing demand for and increasing competition from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) products.
The new price cuts are widely seen as timed to take on the 64-bit Athlon 64 processors rolled out by AMD in late September. |
