wifi connection problems
so, this thing has been bugging me for the last two days. I reinstalled windows on one of my computers, and I can't get the wireless lan to work. I see the network name(I use a hidden SSID and WPA encryption) and I connect to the network for just a split second, then it says no connection again... I've tried different names, channels, firmware, drivers, to no avail. The strange(or maybe not) thing is, is that the wifi is working on two of my other computers, so I think the problem lies with this one. I didn't install SP2 yet(I've read about wifi problems because of sp2) and I can't really think of what else to change. I've got a planet wl-u356 usb dongle.
Oh, almost forgot, I tried another usb dongle(netgear wg111v2) and the exact same problem occurs. Help would be welcome!

Install SP2!
If you are using the Windows builtin utility, try using the adapter maker's program instead and vice versa. Some (older) adapters have problems with WPA and you just can't use them with it - the only choice would be WEP. |

yes! I too have seen that only WEP worked on a USB WiFi adaptor.
