irql not less or equal error after xp install

I have a used Fujitsu Lifebook N3530 notebook I just bought.....I reformatted and reloaded xp pro with no problems, but when the computer reboots for the first time and gets to "installing devices" the blue bar goes about halfway across and BSOD "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error shows up.
Stop 0x0000000A (0x00000010, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x80523E78).

I have replaced the harddrive and tested the memory, tried to disable devices thru the cmos menu with limited capability...any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi James,
yes, it is a genuine copy and it only has 1 RAM module.....I used the "memtest" program to test it....came out fine. Since it is a reformat and new install , there is no "last known good configuration" to go to. How can I find out which device is kicking it out?

Also, I was going to try a bios update, but the only one they offer on thr Fujitsu website is a windows based install....no DOS.
