The Sims Complete Collection Installation Help?

I bought The Sims Complete Collection in April. Since I have installed it on both a computer and two laptops. I got my newest laptop last month and was able to play the game perfectly, until it started to play up on me. I wasn't able to access community lots and moving new families into a home was impossible.

I uninstalled the game with the intention to reinstall it, however this proved problematic. I put the disc in and selected the install option. The install shield wizard began to load, but before even beginning the process the message poped up "Unknown Error Encountered. Aborting Setup."

I run Windows Vista on my laptop, and it has not before effected the game. I was hoping someone may have the answer to my problem.

The disc is fine, and I am able to install the game on other computers, so I believe it is my laptop which is causing the problems.

The maxis file was deleted from my programs first and then the program was fully uninstalled.

Help me please =[

Use CCleaner free registry editor, and try again.
