I have lost my 'sound device' from my Windows xp.

Hi,
For some reason I have lost my 'sound device' from my Windows xp. Microsoft were not able to help and I don't seem to have a disc that looks remotely like a sound driver. Any suggestions please?

Please use proper thread titles from now on. Thanks.

Is it still displayed in device manager?

If you are unsure how to get there, I can talk you through it.
