Hi. I'm new here but i've heard this is the site to go for the blue screen of death problem. So heres the problem:

I have a Hewlett-Packard Pavillion
AMD Athlon[tm] XP 2200+
1.80 GHz, and 1.00 GB of RAM
using Windows XP home edition verstion 2002
Service Pack 2

I have recently reformatted my computer but the BSOD problem keeps showing.

I get this message

0x0000000A(0x5B4D0080,0x00000002,0x00000001,0x806B686C)
Along with this IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL message at the top.

The numbers, 0x000000, is different most of time.

I get the blue screen of death when i'm playing games such as Counter-strike Starcraft, and Diablo II. I can never get through at least 20 minutes into the game before it shows the BSOD.

I thought that the problem might have to do with my RAM but i dont know how to fix it.

i went to the C:/WINDOWS/minidump folder and i find 25 dmp files in it.

EDIT: The solutions on that thread didn't help me sorry.

Go and read this thread HERE and see if it helps you to identify the culprit.

If it doesn`t, post 5 or 6 of your latest minidumps for analysis.

Your minidumps crash with various culprits and I believe this is a hardware problem.

One minidump has BUCKET_ID: CPU_CALL_ERROR and POSSIBLE_INVALID_CONTROL_TRANSFER

From what I can gather, this is a symptom of a faulty mobo or cpu. I also believe that faulty ram or a faulty or underpowered psu could be the culprits.

Hmm.. do you know how i could fix those problems?

First, test you ram and make sure nothing is overclocked. Check your systems temperatures.

If none of that helps, you will need to diagnose which hardware is faulty.

As I said, a faulty mobo or cpu seem to be the main culprits.

Ok i ran memtest86 on a floppy and figured out that theres a problem with a faulty RAM, but i dont know how to get if fixed because in the middle of memtest86 i keep getting Unexpected Interrupt - Halt. So can u tell me how i could fix my faulty RAM problem without running memtest, or how i could have memtest have an unexpected interrupt - Halt.

If you think it`s a ram problem, which it may be, then you will need to replace the ram.

Did you test each stick of ram individually? If not, you should do so.
