Prescott delayed, non AMD-compatible 64-bit?

From this news report at The Inquirer, an article on the Akiba PC Watch site suggests that Intel may be in such trouble over its next generation Prescott microprocessor that it could be pushed back to the second quarter of next year.

At the same time, x-bit comes with the rumours that Prescott may have 64-bit technology built in on its core, albeit disabled. This sounds much like Hyper Threading technology that is said to be included in older versions of Pentium 4 chips, until today there is no known method to enable such extensions however. Last but not least, x-bit adds that the extensions may be a part of the well-known Yamhill project and will not be compatible with AMD’s 64-bit extensions available now in AMD Opteron and Athlon 64 processors.
