Diamond back into the graphics market
Remember the old days when Creative and Diamond Multimedia completely dominated the add-in graphics market? I remember the first 3d card I owned was a Diamond Stealth based on a Rendition Verite V2200 chip, some of you may recall those names... well, according to x-bit we will see again Stealth and Viper brands on store shelves, their comeback is set for next month:
The first new Diamond graphics cards will begin shipping in November and are planned to feature technology from both of the leading graphics chip vendors, ATI Technologies and NVIDIA. As with previous Diamond products, the new lines will include bundles of popular software titles and additional offers and will be available at national retailers and through distribution. According to this report, California based Company, Best Data, acquired Diamond Multimedia property from Sonic Blue. |
