This is what Kelly`s Korner says -
"This is generally due to the DisplayIcon having a negative number (in the registry).
From here you can either remove the negative number or remove the last application listed:
Start/Run/Regedit:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{}
There is also a free utility HERE that wil do it automatically.
The only problem with that is that you need the .NET Framework installed.
