PC Specs and game Specs for Sims 2?

Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone could help?

I have recently bought the sims 2 after ages of saving up but have been doubting whether it would play on my family PC. The specs of my machine at the moment are:
AMD Athlon 64 Processor (3400+)
2.40 GHz
992 MB of RAM
Integrated Mirage 2 graphic engine

If the game would not run on my pc could anyone reccomend a PC that is available on the market, which isn't too expensive (as I have a students budget!) that would run it well?

p.s. i am from the UK

That PC should run Sims 2 no problem.

Even the cheapest PC you buy will have no problem.

System specs
Go here:

http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest

You have to download the ActiveX from the site for the test to work.

Run a test for Sims 2

If you get recommended you system is awesome!

If you get a minimum pass then upgrade your system to the stuff it needs ( videocard, RAM or something else like that )

If you fail do the same for the minimum pass results

Hope I helped
