TS's Search Engine Woes
Hello,
Are there any plans to improve the search functionality of the forums? It seems it can only search for individual words - no combinations or boolean operators. It's rather frustrating. Thanks, Dan |

boolean AND is implied by the presence of multiple words and it does work.

When searching the forum you have two options:
1) Using vbulletin's built-in search 2) You can also use the search box at the top that uses the Google engine to search TechSpot. This is pretty effective although it takes about a few days to a week to spider the latest pages which is why we haven't got rid of vbulletin's. Also if you want to search only the forum using the Google engine, you can search using special commands like the ones you want to use: Your search keywords+"TechSpot Openboards" Hope this helps. |
