Drive A [help Please!]

I had a used floppy disk my friend gave me and I erase everything off of it to make a MS-DOS. When I tried and tried so many times to work it. It keeps saying Data error (CRC) reading error drive A. should i used a new floppy disk? i was just wondering that's all.

Floppy disks can go bad frequently. Whenever one gives me a hint of trouble, I usually toss it. Considering how inexpensive they are, try a new one.
