Is it possible to overclock a DELL Latitude 1100?
If so, which BIOS would it require and what would the proceedure be?
Hardware mods? BIOS settings (if possible)? etc?

Dell laptop has a locked CPU and FSB, which you can't do anything about it.

P.S. There is a program that allow you to adjust the FSB and voltage just little bit. I recommend you to leave the voltage as default, or you will risk to lose the laptop.

any Dell to begin with are going to be hard to overclock. A laptop would be even harder to do without overheating. I would strongly advise against trying to overclock your laptop

NixMarl, I checked at the google. The search came up for your Dell Latitude 1100, Pentium 3 cpu.

It says that it has speed step technology, and you can use it as your advantage. Use the link i posted about notebook hardware control, have it to control your FSB, and CPU on either AC Power or on battery power.

Try it and you would be surprised.

According to the computer itself, it only has a cellery chip, not a P-III.
Guess I could open it up and check the chip itself to be certain what it is.
But if I'm not going to gain more than the risk is worth, then I'm not going to overclock it. I have my HP Pavilion OC'd by 500MHz, that was worth the risk since it certainly does have a P-III and it's in a socket so I can replace it if needed. Time to do a little hardware disassembly.
