Broken lcd Display on dell xps m140
My friend has a Dell xps inspiron m140 and his daughter has dropped it on the back left corner( if you were looking at it as if you were using it). The display shows up but very dimly, I foudn that the backlight is no longer functional. When I tried to plug in an external monitor nothing showed up, I'm not very intelligent with this laptop so I'm not sure if you have to change a setting on it to get it to show up on the external monitor but i was wondering if anyone could help me out.
Thanks Jake |

Fn + F8 will probably do it.
