So I'm getting frequent blue screens that I thought were related to my video card, and after updating the drivers everything seemed to work fine. But now I'm getting random blue screens again. Checking the event log, this is what I found:

Quote:
System Error:

Error code 1000008e, parameter1 c0000005, parameter2 bf8e5f91, parameter3 a98e3868, parameter4 00000000.
Any idea what might be causing this?

Update: I'm working on opening up the minidump file, I'll post results when I get them . . .

System specs
the general rule of thumb with drivers, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. You may need a BIOS update now. or better- just roll back the drivers.
