America Online will introduce antispyware software for subscribers as part of an optional service upgrade early next year, company officials confirmed Tuesday.

I wonder if this also cripples the AOL software, since it is itself.. Spyware.

I don't know about it being spyware, but it is definetly bloatware/crapware ;-)

This is slightly humurous. I agree with Rick, this is kind of like calling the kettle black. Although AOL doesn't really do as bad as some of the other ones.
