Try updating your drivers to the newest version, which you can find here..

If that doesn't work, try uninstalling the drivers completly, both from "Uninstall programs" and by checking registry/using a program to clean it, and install the drivers once more... This will make sure that there aren't any leftover files which might have caused the slowdowns...

Hope this helps...

An ATI card does not like an overclocked PC. Did you overclock yours?

How much free space is left on your Harddisk (min. 15% free) ?

I see your your HD is 40GB, you are running out of space!

Clean up some stuff (like temporary internet files, your Temp-directory etc.). Uninstall programs that you no longer use.
Then run a Scandisk, followed by a Defrag.

You may be surprised

Make sure you uninstall old drivers before installing new ones.

It might be the fact that you're running short on Ram ( your profile says 128mb PC2100 ).

Try to get the latest drivers for your mouse and check the settings of the mouse, you may have set them to SLOW instead of FAST.
Or borrow someone else's mouse and see if the problem persists.
You might also want to clean the ball in the mouse if it is not an optical mouse.

Maybe try defragging your hard drives...this might be why your pc is being slow. Also maybe try tweaking your bios

This could be a hit, and could be a total miss...

Go into the BIOS, and locate the part where you can set the different settings for your keyboard... Increase the speed for how fast the BIOS/keyboard will repeat a pressed key... Don't increase it too much, or you won't be able to type...
You can also decrease the delay...
This should make your keyboard a bit more responsive...

Hope this helps

I was thinking bios but i wanted to know what you have you AGP multipier set at, 1,2 ,4 or 8 times? also are you running the latest direct X? version b is out now. i expect you have but i wanted to verify. i know splinter cell does not use antialiasing, which is what I was thinking until you said you weren't having a prob in lowest setting. just for grins i would make sure it has defaulted to no antialiasing.

System specs
Do you have the latest motherboard drivers from here Gigabyte 7DXE
Also check and make sure your HDD is running ATA 100 and have DMA on.
