nvidia driver cuts video feed!

Greetings to all! I hope someone can help me with this problem. I'm installing a new Nvidia Verto G-Force-Fx fideo card. I have downloaded the latest drivers from the Nvidia site(Ver 45.23). I have a standard VGA monitor, and windows 98 installes the standard VGA adapter. I can install the drivers just fine, Windows prompts me to restart my computer, Windows then installes my new hardware. Windows then prompts me to restart computer again, but then Windows reboots to the bios, the Windows 98 page comes up briefly and then goes back to the bios screen and then I loose all video. I can then restart the computer in safe mode only. If I remove the drivers I can again reboot back up to the normal desktop. I would greatly appreciate any help with this. Thank you in advance, and have a good one.
