Windows XP & Windows Server 2003 Dual Boot Problem with External Disk

Hello guys,

I have 3 internal (1 80 gb sata1, 1 200 gb sata1 and 1 20 gb pata) and 1 extarnal ( 500 gb sata2 usb) hard disk.

When i connect all hard drives:

in Computer Management > Storage > Disk Management

Disk0 (80 GB sata1) has two partitions:
C: 43.95 GB NTFS E:30.57 GB (both has NTFS structure)

Disk1 (200 GB sata1) has two partitions:
D: 97.65 GB G:88.65 GB (both has NTFS structure)

Disk2 (20 GB pata) has 1 logical drive (19.01 GB - all available space assigned)
(hast NTFS structure)
Disk3 (500 GB Sata2-external-usb) has two partitions
H:75.13 GB K:390.63 GB (both has NTFS structure)

My Boot.ini file structure:

[boot loader]
timeout=24
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(2)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Windows NT 2003 SR2"

"fastdetect"
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="WindowsXP Pro S2" "/fastdetect"

Windows XP is installed on C: partition on Disk0

Windows Server 2003 installed on G: partition on Disk1

When, i connect USB external disk i am able to boot on Windows XP, however it won't let me boot Windows Server 2003 while USB disk connected,

i am receiving an error about "please reinstall ntoskrnl.exe"

I think something wrong with my boot.ini,

It was working fine, but i accidently deleted a wrong entry instead of a dead entry, and that was the starting point of my problem.

Anyone can recommend me a solution?

I may try Recovery console, i am also open up to other suggestions.

Thanks.

if i remove external disk, then it lets me to boot server 2003

As you said, 2003 is installed on Disk 1. Your boot.ini says multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(2)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Windows NT 2003 SR2"
