WinXP Pro install BSOD

hello everyone.
After I received my XPS 720 with Vista installed, games were rather unstable and crashed randomly, plus I dont like Vista anyway.

So I got my old copy of XP which I've used many many times without problems and gave it a try. The disk boots fine, once its done loading drivers and all, the setup quits into a BSOD, I cant even get to the partition setup.

It keeps sayin something about virus or HDD problems... but Vista reinstalled flawless.

Any clue?

tnx in advance!
