Benchmarks: AS SSD Benchmark

With NVMe driver installed the SSD 750 Series is able to hit 2.2GB/s, which is considerably faster than the sequential read performance seen when testing with CrystalDiskMark.

The sequential write performance is still strong at 1.25GB/s, which is more than twice the bandwidth of a SATA 2.5" SSD.

Here we see that the NVMe driver does nothing to aid in 4K-64 thread performance, as the SSD 750 was good for 1.3GB/s regardless.

The NVMe driver didn't help with 4K-64 thread read performance and oddly it hindered the 4K-64 thread write performance. Intel's PCIe drive was 35% slower with the NVMe driver installed.

Oddly, the read access time of the SSD 750 was slightly faster without the NVMe driver installed, which is certainly unexpected. Still, the results are so close you can safely call them even.

Intel's newcomer also offers incredibly fast write access times, though again the same results were delivered with and without the NVMe driver installed.
