so i've had this ip for about more than a week now, and i need help
i have a lan box thing for 2 computers in one of my rooms, one cable to my computers, and one to my router, a linksys befsr41. so, i can't connetc to the internet. I've tried the winsockxpfix, /release/renew,switching cables, almost everything, i think, and I need your help. everyone in the house gets a connection but me. please help me.

The IP you're getting is an internal DHCP address, so in other words the computer can't get a reply from the DHCP server.

I presume you've set your router to share IP addresses? Can you check its logs for information why it failed?
