9700 pro to a flat screen tv. need help tweaking

i've recently built a PC with a 9700 pro video card that's hooked up to a TV through S-Video. I get really good performance, but my brightness on the display is hard to get right. I can change the settings of my actual TV, but I don't want to do that everytime I use my computer. I know the contrast setting for the video card adjusts it to some extent, but I can't get the settings the way I want them. Any ideas?

get it off the tv.....which only supports 640x480 rez......something is goin to give........
