A floppy drive that does'nt exist

Hi. I'm new to the forum I have had help from this place before, but I can't seem to find a thread that answers my current problem so I just signed up, lol, anyway the problem is that my computer has just installed a floppy drive that does not in fact exist. I don't know how this has happened I don't own a floppy drive there is'nt a floppy drive in the computer, the computer should not be registering that there is one there, any ideas on how this may have happened? and how to delete this mystery drive?

Go into the bios and find the screen that has Search for Floppy Drive on start-up or something similar and change it to NO.

ok, is there a way to get into the bios without restarting the computer?

unfortionly no, when you restart hit delete or and f key

heh! thanks guys, It's fixed now, still wish I knew how it happened in the first place, dumb machine thinking it had a floppy drive, lol.
