Absoulutely no sound from anything.. help!

this morning all of my computer sound has stopped. whenever i try to open "Volume Control" i get an error saying "there are no active mixer devices available"......

whats wrong?

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Sounds like you need to reinstall your sound drivers.

If you are using onboard sound, go to your mobo manufacturers website and download and install the latest audio drivers.

If you are using a separate sound card, go to your soundcard manufacturers website.

Hopefully, that should solve your problem.
