add/remove program problems

First off, my Norton anti-virus detected a trogen horse virus. I did the following...Disabled system restore, updated my virus definitions, restarted in safe mode, and than ran a full system scan. The scan detected no virus, (strangely). Now, Im having even worse problems things are popping up in my add/remove programs that i cant delete, and because i turned off system restore it deleted all my restore points. WHAT CAN I DO TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM????? I been told to delete any values that were added to my registry but i dont know what was added.........

Sorry I'm not going to be much help on this. But for future reference:
Before you go trying to remove a virus manually, always check symantec's site to see if they have a virus removal tool, then use that following its instructions. I've seen people try to remove them themselves several times and ended up with more problems.

Hopefully someone else will post with information that can help you now.
