Add Remove Programs field will not populate

When I go to "add remove programs" the box or field does not FULLY populate. There are no error messages. There are some entries that are DIFFERENT when sorting by Name, Size, Frequence, and Date. Example "Yahoo! Messanger" will appear when sorted by Size, but not when sorted by Name. I only see 10 entries when sorted by Frequency, but over 50 entries when sorted by Size. The rest appear to be truncated somehow.

OpSys: Windows XP Home Version 2002 SP2
Logged in as administrator.

I cannot Uninstall several programs that are no longer desired. Please HELP!

Try downloading a fresh copy of the Windows Installer and install it to see if the problem goes away.
If not i would say you need a repair install of XP.
