Adobe causing error in internet explore

Everytime I close explore with a pdf document displayed I get a error.

'Internet Explorer has encountered a problem with an add-on and needs to close,'
file - pdf.ocx
company - Adobe Systems
discription - Control for Axtive X

Anyone have any clues?

What Windows version, Adobe Reader version are you using?
Is your ActiveX activated?
Why don't you ditch IE and switch over to Firefox from www.getfirefox.com ?

Also check and make sure that you don't have two installations of Acrobat.

While you are at Firefox check the FAQ's for Acrobat there are some issues with the symptoms you expressed.You must make sure to use the right versions with the different O/S's.
