AIW 9800PRO issues

I have read reviews of the Radeon 9800 PRO which performs the same in games as the AIW, and i have seen that I should be getting around 16000-17000 in 3DMark2001. . . but I only get around 10000 to 11500. . .

My Specs are:

P4 Northwood s478 @2.56 ghz
768 mb DDR-SDRAM (2 DIMMs) @ PC3200
ASUS P4V8X-MX mainboard
AIW 9800PRO

overclocked?

im no expert but this is my thought from a few things i have read before. i have a 9700 pro on a dfi nf3 250gb and a athlon64 3000 dtr mobile 1.8gh overclocked to a 2.7ghz and i hit 20135 on 3dmark01. one thing i noticed is your ram is not a matched set as where i have 2x512 sticks of samsung mem. if i dont overclock my cpu and my vid card a bit i will only get between 11000 to 17000. so with unmatched sticks of mem i wouldnt expect to get to much higher then what you r getting due to some sticks may not work as well together. also if unmatched one stick may not be able to handle the same settings as the other so it could be slowing u down a bit creating a bottleneck. hope this helps.

maybe it's the driver issue? have you update to the latest driver?
