I have the above on four locations can anyone tell me if the the following is a virus??? And how to remove "alg.exe local service 00 cpu 388 K" Agent Ransack shows it on C;\WINDOWS\syestem32\ C:\Windows\Software Distrib... C:\Windows\Service Pack File..., C;\Windows\$N$ServicePack.... why
does it have four apps and how do you know its a virus?? And how do I go about
removing all my security shows nothing!! Thanks
 
This program is part of the Microsoft Windows operating system and is critical for the Windows firewall. This should be left running, as it is part of your system and will be found on all the latest computers. Alg.exe stands for application layer gateway.

Found in C:\WINDOWS\system32
All other locations are backups, or original source distribution folder

Verdict: Required - Leave alone
