all-in-wonder problems

My ATI All-in_wonder card is not giving a signal via the Video )ie composite) out. Except that is clearly but briefly during bootup (eg the instructions for accessing the BIOS etc). Once WIN 98 starts I get nothing out of this when trying to edit video. Anyone any ideas ?

First of all check and make sure the connections are properly hooked up. Next you should make sure everything is setup properly in Win98 advanced settings tab. If you are unsure of what I mean post back and I will try to explain it better, but those are the only 2 problems I can think of with this minimal detail.

Thanks for replying - more system details if that would help:

Athlon 1200
256 Ram
Sonic Fury Sound CArd

Could you explian a little more about advanced settings in WIN98?
Also I forgot to mention how poor the capture/playback rates are even on the computer monitor... very jerky on capture and on playback ? Any ideas ? A CODEC thing ??
Thanks again.

On the capture and playback, what resolution are you using and what quality are you recording? You may need to lower one or both.
