Hello everyone. Whenever I turn on my computer on the boot screen with black background and the windows xp logo in the center along with the bar below the logo, there is a pause there for about 4 seconds (By a pause meaning the bar at the bottom of the logo does not continue. It's frozen). After the 4 seconds, the bar starts moving and I get into windows. I do not know why this is happening. It started happening the day I built this computer.

Specs:
-Windows Xp Pro
-SP2
-Dual core 1.80 ghz
-P5K MB
-ATI x1650 pro
-2 GB RAM DDR2
-160 GB Seagate Barracuda SATA

Thank you everyone~

If I have understood your timing, this happening at the boot where Windows is loading drivers. Have you added a new device to the system recently?

disconnect from the Internet and then boot -- do you get the same 4sec delay?
