aolsoftware virus

there is a aolsoftware virus that keeps coming up when i turn my computer on...i have sophos and avast as my anti viruses and it tells me were it is...i can delete the virus but when i turn my computer back on then the virus keeps coming back i have done bootscans, spyware scans and i used a crapcleaner but it still comes back does anyone know how to get rid of it

Have you tried immediately rebooting to SAFE MODE after the regular removal tools, then running Sophos and Avast in safe mode?

There are several infestations. In most cases the "aolsoftware.exe" is likely to be the SDBOT.COV worm

Do you have AOL 9.0, AIM 6, or AOL Safety and Security Center? I used to have multiple aolsoftware.exe files show in my task manager until I downgraded to AOL 7.0, AIM 5.1.3036, and removed the AOL Safety and Security Center.
