Application thinks PC is Windows 2000 not Windows XP

When trying to install Flight Unlimited I get a message saying my PC is running Windows 2000 when it is actually Windows XP..... needless to say I cannot get the sim to laod properly.... any ideas anyone , thanks, colin

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Maybe you need to run the game in Windows 2000 compatibility mode.

Right click on the games icon, and select properties, and then the compatibility tab. Tick the box that says "Run this programme in compatibility mode for:". Choose windows 2000 from the drop down menu, click apply/ok.

Other than that, apart from uninstalling/reinstalling the game. I`m out of ideas.

thanks - but the sim is not published for windows 2000 , sorry I have yet to update my profile with system information as well
