ASUS A8N-SLI - refused to boot up.

Hello.

I had my A8N-SLI for a while.

All is well.


Problem =

I picked up my dad's SB LIVE 5.1 PCI card and installed it.

Suddenly it won't boot up to BIOS. Zip, Nada, nothing.

Took it off. Boot was all right, but boot slowly.

I restart it few times to vertify. Guess what? It went south.

The power is still working, CPU / nforce chip and Video card are warm.

Any idea to bring it back ?

I'm running on A8N-SLI SE and would like to have my A8N-SLI back, due to Firewire and extra network.

P.S. I checked the board, there is no bludged capacitors, fryed wires on PCB or any visible damages. I realized after it caused some damages on my P4S533 board. It went south too. The SB was damaged.

Buy another A8N Board and plug in the Sound Card again to see what happens. It could have been a short circuit. Did you try reseting the BIOS, remove the CMOS battery?

No way!

This sound card did the unknown damages to Asus A8N-SLI and Asus P4S533 boards.

I just wondering if there is a way to bring back A8N-SLI ?

And Yes, yes. Nothing.
