Does ATI cards conflict with this mobo?
ASUS A8V DELUXE Socket 939 VIA K8T800 Pro ATX AMD Motherboard
I heard there would be 'cause the mobo is a VIA. Is that true?
Should the mobo conflict with any of these below and forgive me for the video in a CPUs, Chipsets and Mobos board,
SAPPHIRE Radeon 9550 256MB 128-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X Video Card and or
ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon X800XT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 VIVO AGP 4X/8X

But is it good for ATI cards?
You should phrase it differently, such as "But is ATI cards good with it?"

The asnwer is here. The basic optimizations for ATI cards are turning individual features completely off. An altername for the method is call turning down hardware accelleration a notch, if not enough then turning down one more extra notch, so on and so forth...

ATI rarely used fall back features, off is normal.

i am not too fond of msi, as i have read many horror stories about that board. try the epox 939 nforce3 board. if you can, try to go nforce4 with pci-e. that is what i should have done. now i feel like an *****. lol

Heres the thing,
I'm an ATI kind of guy because i believe that ATI well become the "Big Boss"
of the computer graphics. I really need a good mobo because i already have a SAPPHIRE Radeon 9550 256MB 128-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X Video Card,
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102484

so ... I try/or want to stay in AGP becuase i think in some way it's better ?_?
But when i have enough i well get,
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102492

here's the parts i was getting,
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811144038 case
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103537 cpu
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827152039 dvd..
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820220045 ram
and,
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813130468 mobo
please find a mobo under $130 but no cheap stuff ... I just can't find a mobo .. a good one I ment.

if you stay with agp, you will only be able to upgrade to an x850 at most. you should go pci-e because ati will support that as well, and it is a better and newer graphics technology.

i like nvidia........but its not like i hate ati, i mean i used to have a 9250(which isnt the greatest). but uh i would recommend a asus mombo u cant go wrong with those mother frackers.

Woooooooo im bored

well see heres the deal,
I'm only 14 with a lot of computer knowledge and i don't have enough money for a new video card. That's why i have the saphaire. I just need the mobo.
I'm staying with AGP because ,
1. I don't have the money for a new video card.
2. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102492 I like this card that I will someday get.
3. Would it be a good I idea for me to grab the ... as a mobo,
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813130468 OR
Is the ASUS work able.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131510

please give me a mobo^_^, AGP8x4x,939,pc400(3200)...

get the msi, do NOT get the a8v deluxe with the via chipset otherwise you will hate yourself. i made the mistake of picking the a8v with my 9800 and my games are slow, its in 4x agp only, cant operate in 8x otherwise i get infinite loop bluescreens like hundreds others. im not kidding. and i had to do a lot of bios upgrades just to get stable but lacking performance. go with the msi.
