Asus P4P800 SP2 SoundMAX problem

Hi all!

My onboard soundcard works perfectly (no complains). There is just one problem....my microphone is not working. I had reinstalled many times drivers and checked everything. Tried the mic on other PC and it is working well. May be some of you guys had the same problem as I do? Any ideas? Should i buy the new one or it is possible to fix it?

hey....i am not familiar with soundmax.first of all which mobo chipset do you have and do you have hi-def audio(5.1 or above).there is also a chance that it might be because of a fauly mobo.

I also have p4p800 and I am having the same problem my mic it will not work. I have taken the mic plugged it in elsewhere an it works fine. Also I had gone out a bought a new mic plugged it into the p4p800 an it worked fine for a week or so now the same problem is returning. I have reinstalled drivers but still nothing . Roman have you remedied this problem ?? Any help would be appreciated!!
