ATI or NVIDIA need help

my cuzin has a budget of $5000 and he and i r goin to build a decent gaming machine. now wat should we pick? ATI or nvidia. so far we like nvidia but wats better (phisically).

alright we bought the v card sound card, ram etc. Now all we need is a mobo and power supply and case.

5000 Dollers for a gaming machine.... seriously man just get a Playstation 3 or an Xbox 360...The ps3 uses the RSX engine which is more powerful than 2 7800 GTX's combined and it would cost u about 500 dollers ..your games wont crash, wont lag, wont need some patch problems and stuff and you can play online...

Nothing will lag on a $5000 computer and you can't play stradagy games and ps3 or xbox 360. Anyway what kind of processor do you have if you have one we need to know that before we can pick out a motherboard and do you any memory. For the case and power supply I would get this this....

This is just my favorite case, you don't really need advice from us on cases though because they all work as long as it's a cheap piece of crap and they are an atx case. Shop around newegg and make sue you have some fans for it.

jesus christ. 5 grand to spend on a computer..i'd crap myself. Yes....get two 7800GTX's, if not two of those, two 7800GT's. that'd only cost 800 as opposed to around 1000-1200. Wow. That thing is going to fly.

we bought some games also like BF2. WE also bought those 2 fans and he installed em. y did we only get 1 gb...i have no clue....damn it!
