Hey got a nasty problem with my pc.
I was uninstalling Norton SystemWorks 2006, and during the process of removing GoBack, the uninstallation crashed. Now when I try to let my computer boot it it says "autochk.exe not found - skipping autocheck" then just reboots and continues the process over. Norton GoBack continues freezing too when I try to disable it during the boot process.
I read from another article that the issue is most likely my HDs main partition is hidden, so I should boot to a dos disk and run PTEdit and change the partition type from hex 0x17 to hex 0x7.
I've made a bootable Dos Disk with my other computer, and copied PTEdit.exe onto it also, the problem is im not familiar with Dos commands at all, could someone help me out here?
If anyone also has any other suggestions for this issue please do tell
