Battlefield 2 problem or cheat?

This morning while playing BF 2 on one server I found that everybody I killed was my own team, even though they showed up as the red team. It's kind of hard to figure out who is friend or enemy like this. Needless to say it doesn't do much for your score either, not to mention maybe getting kicked for TK'ing.

Has anybody else experienced this? I've had this happen before, but not like this morning where almost everybody showed as the red team. Is this a cheat or a bug in the game.

Yes, it is a known bug...
One which should've been fixed in either of the two first patches, but wasn't...

I've had the same problem a couple of times, and the way I found out it was a tk was from the punishment I got for the kill... Even the text in the upper left hand corner showed it as a regular kill for me...
I like the game very much, but it has quite a few bugs and probably shouldn't have been released before christmas or so...
