Battlefield 2 problems - Not start

Ive found other players with the same problema nd it seems to all relate to the same areas, Medion PCs, Microstar (MSI) motherboards and the Artec DHI-G40 dvd player.

we have updated the latest firmware/BIOS/drivers and yet it still happens, is there anything we can do?

Problem:
on loading the game, splash appears, and then the games says insert disc.
the DVD player has disapeared fof the pc until reboot when same happens

hmm well i dont know what esle u can do there, is bf2 the only game it does this? if so mabye its time to get a new drive( try the lite on cd-dvd combo its freakin sweet i have it and it has no problems with bf2 or any other game.)

I want a cheap but effective one that i can order from net, to arrive in UK

i have a lite on combo too and its pretty cheap i got mine at walmart
