Begin2Search / CoolWebSearch Problems

Hello

I followed the directions on the sticky about the Begin2Search / CoolWebSearch, but I still am having problems. After doing what it said, I went back into windows and the device manager wouldn't open still, and it still wouldn't let the computer see the internet connection. It says network cable unplugged (its not). I ran the hijack program again, deleted more files that came up that weren't supposed to be there, and then my device manager would open. I had an exclamtion mark next to my ethernet card. I uninstalled it. I'm hoping when I restart it will all work fine now, but I have doubts since the first fix didn't take care of it. I am going to restart, run hijack and then post the log. Thanks so much for you help. If it would just be easier to format and reinstall windows...then I'll do that.

I just don't want to save some files, with the virus in them.

Thanks a lot!

still no internet
