Best Anti-Virus Software; Fee-based

I am wondering what the consensus on Anti-Virus software is. I am currently using AVG free, and am wondering what new alternative I could pursue for my new, rather improved, computer.

I have used Norton, yet have noticed it has been called "bloatware" and "too big for its own good". With that, I am perplexed as to the best, free or not, program to remove viruses.

I used to use norton home, then I was able to get norton corporate free from the Army with free updates. I find norton corporate much better with no bloatware.

Do a search on these forums for 'best antivirus' etc.
There are too many of these posts around already.
