Best MB, CPU, RAM to use for gaming and video?

Hello, thank you for looking at this post. I'm thinking about upgrading my PIII to be more up to date. I would like to know which motherboard would be the best for gaming and video encoding(making MPEG, MPEG-4) for both AMD and Intel. From there I would like to know which RAM I should get, I'm thinking about getting at least 1 Gig.

well on the AMD side of things -
the new ASUS A7N8X (nVidia nForce 2 Chipset) is the BEST gaming motherboard out there - especially when coupled with a Athlon XP 3200+
As for RAM (depending on how much you have to spend) i would recommed Corsair. If u have alot to spend on ram i would recommend the TwinX 2x512Meg XMS3200LL RAM @ about £240- 2 sticks of matched low latency DDR400 RAM - just sooooo fast!

if you want to play games and do digital encoding I would recommend a new P4 with the 800mhz FSB and the 875P chipset which supports 400mhz DDR. corsair is an excellent choice.
