BIOS nightmare?

I have just upgraded with an ASRock K7S8X mobo, 2800+ AMD and new memory.
BIOS etc was showing my processor as 2200 so I flashed the bios which reported it was successful but then on rebooting it didnt even get to the POST screen.
The monitor sits idle but everything inside powers up and you can hear the HDD clicking into place.

Any ideas?
Please don't tell me the BIOS has corruted (unless it has)

This turned out to be the jumpers... I pulled them off the motherboard and the pc booted 1st time! Hurrah

As otherwise you'd probably need a new mobo.....
