BIOS upgrade

hi i just read somewhere recently that if you upgrade the bios on your mother board then that can help with oc'ing. either way i would like to upgrade it or update or w/e. however i do not kno very much about doing this my motherboard is an ASUS A8N-SLI Premium with an Opteron 144 processor the rest of my specs are on my profile sheet. any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to download the right bios version. Try here
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

Then extract it to a floppy disk, boot the computer to the floppy and follow the instructions on the screen...Make sure it is the right version or you could ruin your bios.

ok thanks i looked at a lot of places and found that my mobo has an ez flash thing where u just need a floppy with the bios on it and at POST press <alt>+<F2> and it will ask for the floppy and it will do it without a hitch and i did it and it works great now i was able to go from 2.3Ghz to 2.5Ghz and i havent tried further yet
