Blinking Feed LED, Lexmark 3200

  1. When I turn on the printer, the gears within the printer is rolling but the feed roller doesn't turn at all. After 15 seconds, the feed LED blinks and stops responding to the feed button. This problem occurs regardless of whether there is paper in the bin or not.

Also how do you replace the feed roller of a Lexmark 3200?

You don't. Instead you use that POS as a door stopper or an anchor for your boat, and buy a decent printer from the likes of Canon. Much cheaper on the ink as well.

The encoding strip on the Lexmark has likely gone bad. No good fix. Parts unavailable. Canons, Epsons, Dells, and Compaq printers are not much better. Consider certain HP's, Fujitsu, Brother, Konica Minolta, or Samsung... but watch where you have to get ink. The HP is such a good choice because the print head is in the cartridge, but their cheap printers and their OfficeJets are having as many failures as the Lexmarks.
